Guangdong Yihua Timber Industry is a large joint-stock enterprise specializing in the production and sales of wood furniture, wood flooring. It has attained a registered capital of RMB 1.15 billion and total assets of RMB 6 billion.
Yihua Timber exports and sells it products under its own brand name. Not only has its trademark been registered in more 35 countries and regions, but Yihua also owns a large marketing network and an extensive after-sales services network at home and abroad. Yihua products sell successfully in many countries and regions such as Europe, Australia, and in more than 1,000 retail outlets spread all over the United States. In August 2004, Yihua launched its IPO in Shanghai Stock Exchange, (Stock Code: 600978) becoming the first company to be publicly listed among Shantou private businesses and China wood flooring industry.
By actively participating in significant industrial activities, Yihua Timber is an influential member of the National Wood Flooring Association and the Global Forestry Trade Network. Yihua Timber is also the vice chairman of the China Forestry Industry Association, vice chairman of the Wood Flooring Panel of China Forestry Industry Association, vice chairman of China Furniture Association and China Wood Door Association, etc. Yihua Timber is an active member of China's National "863" Program and received recognition as a “New High-Tech Enterprise.”
Yihua Timber has set up more than 500 exclusive shops for furniture and wood flooring in large and medium cities in China by utilizing a franchising business model and a regional exclusive distribution model. In addition, Yihua’s wholly owned subsidiary, Yihua Timber (U.S.A.) Inc., was established in Los Angeles, California with an investment of USD $40 million. It became the largest local distribution center for solid wood furniture and flooring by occupying a total area of 450,000 square feet for office and warehouse space. This is the largest investment project by a Chinese company in Los Angeles to date. Meanwhile, Yihua Timber set up a 40,000 square feet furniture showroom in High Point, North Carolina.
In 2004 Yihua Timber invested in “Yihua Timber City” on the original production foundation. This project was planned and designed by German experts and its key equipment imported from Germany, Taiwan is characterized by highly automated workflow. The Yihua Timber City’s is planned to cover an area of 112 hectares with total investment reaching RMB 1.6 billion so as to become one of the largest single wood-processing bases in the world.
The company has planted 6,666 hectares of fast growing trees in Northern Guangdong and owns planted forests that span across 14,000 hectares in Jiangxi province. Apart from that, the company has set up other raw materials supply bases in many countries such as Suriname, Myanmar, Laos, Indonesia and countries in Africa. Theses bases ensure the constant supply of wood resources for the company’s long-term sustainable development.
